Welcome to My Space!
One of the things that I have learned over the many years that I have practiced mental health is the office in which I work. I have recognized how different spaces that I have worked in over the past years have provided significantly different feelings within myself and my clients. The color of the walls and the amount of both natural and sunlight are important as well as what type of décor is displayed. My goal for my private office space has always been to make it be comfortable and welcoming. I have worked to create an environment which displays many of my own interests, but mainly a space that clients can come into and feel comfortable. Therapy is a process of working through difficult emotions and we should have an opportunity to do this in a space that feels open and safe. You can see my office below. If you like what you see and would like to come in and start your therapy journey here with me, please email me and we will set up a time for you to come in, take your shoes off and release all of those unwanted emotions.
Bailey
A few years ago, I adopted Bailey in hopes that I could train her to be a seizure alert dog for myself. She has instead become a therapy companion. Unfortunately, she doesn't sense any signs of an oncoming seizure for me, but she certainly recognizes emotions and will snuggle with those who need it from time to time.
